Terms of Service — Finlytics
Last updated: 28 August 2026
These terms govern your use of Finlytics, a shared household expense ledger for Android, published by Arslan Aziz, an individual developer based in Pakistan ("we", "us"). By installing or using the app you agree to them.
1. The service
Finlytics lets a household record expenses, income and transfers against a shared ledger, and keep running balances for cash, bank and card accounts. It is a record-keeping tool. It is not a bank, not a payment service, and not financial advice. No money moves through Finlytics: recording a transfer in the app records that you moved money, it does not move it.
2. Your account
You sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for keeping access to that account secure, and for everything logged under it. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has access.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Finlytics.
3. Households and shared data
A household is shared by design. When you invite somebody into your household, or join one, every member can see every transaction, account and balance in it, along with your display name and email address. Members cannot spend from an account they do not own, but they can see it.
Only invite people you are willing to show your finances to. We cannot un-share data from somebody who has already seen it.
4. Your content
The transactions, accounts, notes and household names you enter remain yours. You grant us only the permission needed to store that content and show it to your household so the app can work. We do not claim ownership of it, and we do not use it to train anything.
5. Subscriptions and payment
Finlytics is free to use on your own, indefinitely. Premium adds household sharing — inviting somebody in, joining an existing household, and analytics beyond the last 30 days.
- Subscriptions are billed through Google Play, not by us directly.
- Payment is taken at confirmation of purchase, and renews automatically for the same period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- Manage or cancel a subscription in Google Play, not in the app: Play Store → your profile → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions.
- Refunds are handled under Google Play's refund policy. We cannot issue Play refunds ourselves.
- Prices may change. Any change applies from the next billing period, and you will be told first.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use Finlytics to break the law, attempt to access another household's data, disrupt the service or its infrastructure, or resell it as your own product.
7. Availability
We aim to keep Finlytics working, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service. The app holds a local copy of your ledger and works offline, syncing when a connection returns; even so, keep your own record of anything you cannot afford to lose. We may change or discontinue features, and will give reasonable notice of anything significant.
8. Ending it
You can stop using Finlytics at any time and delete your account in Settings → Account → Delete account. Data is fully purged within 30 days. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel a Google Play subscription — cancel that in Google Play.
We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are breached in a way that harms other users or the service.
9. Liability
To the extent the law allows, Finlytics is provided "as is", and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for financial decisions taken on the basis of what the app displays. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Finlytics records what you tell it. It is not a source of financial truth — your bank is.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan.
11. Changes
We will update this page when the terms change, and the "Last updated" date will change with it. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.
